 Hotel Description:

Contemporary decor includes salmon and purple hues; broad, playful stripes; and warmly-toned wood furniture. Although the Sheraton is oriented towards business travelers and conventioneers, the facilities, location and services also should please leisure guests. Newly refurbished guest rooms feature spacious desk areas, phones with data ports, plush-top mattresses with thick down covers and triple sheeting, robes and trouser presses. For dining, guests can pick from 24-hour room service or Spanish tapas at the hotel's elegant Fandangles, the buffet at The Collage or sandwiches, soups and salads at The Deli. The Sheraton Atlanta occupies a premium location in the central business district: one block from the convention center and Georgia State University and a half-mile from Centennial Olympic Park. A MARTA station three blocks away offers easy access to Hartsfield International Airport, the nifty Buckhead neighborhood of upscale shopping and nightclubs, midtown Atlanta and pro sports venues. Recreational facilities also include a 24-hour fitness center stocked with the latest equipment. The park offers a public ice rink in winter and hosts inexpensive public music concerts in summer. In mid-2004, the hotel completed a $42 million renovation, resulting in a practically new place. The hotel's 17,000 square feet of garden and poolside space surround an indoor/outdoor pool with a retractable roof.
